Help us make a difference
An initiative promoted by AVEC-PVS in the communities of Molando, Tres Vías, Correntada, Mamey, Puerto Nuevo and Boca del Sucio, in Esmeraldas province, to tackle malnutrition among indigenous peoples. Because of hunting and fishing restrictions in the Mache-Chindul reserve, the project introduced family tilapia farming as an alternative source of protein and income. Twenty-five families were trained to run sustainable fish ponds independently.
