Pathways to resilience and food security in eastern Burkina Faso
Between Fada N'Gourma and Diapaga, 150 women, most of them displaced, learn to process and preserve what they produce.
Ongoing
In the municipality of Fada, a group of displaced women are seeking a fresh start through farm work and new sources of income.
The project supports an initiative already under way in the municipality of Fada, where a group of women – among the thousands of internally displaced people – are seeking a way out of their situation through farm work and new sources of income. The volunteer association VIVAVI (Vivre au Village) took charge of the initiative, making the most of an agricultural fund and some private grants. Two recently built wells supply water, volunteers support the women in their work, and the women contribute a small monthly sum.
