Yak-milk cheese on the Tibetan Plateau
A maturing facility and new technologies to add value to dri-milk cheese in Golok Prefecture.
An agricultural project on the Qinghai plateau to build a maturing facility for cheese made from the milk of the female yak (dri), in Golok Prefecture. The project increased the value of dairy products by introducing innovative production technologies. It was preceded (2004–2006) by a collaboration on yak-milk dairy products, promoted and funded by Terra Trade (Chengdu) and the Slow Food Foundation.
